Sometimes, if you look closely, you can see the Chiver mimicking the female of the species, a Chivette, and posing in similar fashions.  It's not fully understood why these majestic creatures do this.  Some think it's because they're trying to attract a mate or anger a sub-species called "an internet troll." Others assume it's a type of challange to other Chivers.  However, the theory that is mostly widely believed is simply this....Chivers find this type of activity "hilarious" and have "no fucks to give" about the opinion of others.
