This year offers a great selection of action and comedy at the box office, and you will probably wind up watching these movies at some point or another, even if you don't want to. Whether you wait until it's out on demand, or stuff your face with expensive popcorn at the theater, here is 2015's movies to be released that you will likely see.
#1: Jurassic World
(June 12th) Chris Pratt takes the lead in the fourth installment of the Jurassic Park movies. Who doesn't love a good dinosaur / cross-species hybrid monster movie?
#2: Focus
(February 27th) Will Smith and Margot Robbie play in a romantic comedy about lies, deceit, conning, sexy times, and what will likely be a lot of general Will Smith catchphrases.
#3: Poltergeist
(July 24th) I'm not one for remakes, but this actually looks as crazy as the first classic thriller. Everyone likes a scary movie.
#4: Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens
(December 18th) This could possibly be the greatest thing ever for nerds, or quite possibly the worst thing. Almost turning 40 years old, the Star Wars franchise will leave blogging fan and critics around the world with crippling arthritis this December.
#5: Mad Max: Fury Road
(May 15th) Tom Hardy plays Max in the fourth film from the Max Max franchise with co-star Charlize Theron. It's been 16 years since Mel Gibson made this Australian film about what it means to be a bad ass in the wasteland, and this looks exciting as racing across the desert in a suped-up death machine with Charlize Theron.
#6: Avengers: Age of Ultron
(May 1st) Hulk smash! Thor smash! Iron Man smash! Captain America falls down. Black Widow kicks... a lot. Another Avengers movie... but with a lot more kick-ass robots.
#7: Hitman: Agent 47
(August 28th) Based on the popular video game series, Hitman is about a sharp-shooting master of disguise with a knack for doing things in the most bad ass ways. The whole Timothy Olyphant thing never happened... and everyone deserves a do-over.
#8: Fantastic Four
(August 7th) Speaking of reboots and superhero movies... this will happen. Love it or hate it, you will probably watch it.
#9: 007: Spectre
(November 6th) There isn't an official trailer yet, but we know Daniel Craig will be returning along with some familiar faces for the 24th... 25th installment? I don't know... I lost count. But whatever... it's James Bond... if you need an explanation, crawl back under the rock you've been living under.
#10: Ted 2
(June 26th) Foul-mouthed teddy bear, voiced by Seth McFarlane, and Mark Wahlberg, voiced by Mark Wahlberg, return for a sequel to the 2012 comedy. This trailer will surely give you a few laughs, unless you have no sense of humor.
