OK Chive and Its Future

From our little history lesson a couple days ago, we told you where OK Chive has come from. Now let me give you a little insight on where we're going as an organization.

We have had such a successful year, and we have a couple more events planned to wrap up a highly successful 2014 so that we wind it up on a good note.  As Oklahomans, we've raised over $40,000 in less than 6 months for Oklahoma charitible organizations - which for any organization is an impressive milestone. But we've got our sights set on bigger goals.

One thing we are looking to do is to sponsor more events like the one we have coming up soon - MPact Events' 4th Annual Not So Silent Night.  Events such as these directly create a noticeable and immediate impact on our community where we need it the most - the children of our communities.  They are our future, and whenever we have the opportunity to make a difference in the community at this level - you better believe we will do everything we can to make it happen.  Learn more about the 4th Annual Not So Silent Night below.

After you watch that video, you will see that we are looking for like minded people such as Jamie Kucinski to drive us, to fuel us, and to push us to keep making our communities a little happier and a little brighter.  We will be focusing 100% with our big events on local charities - to give them extra support where they had little to start with.  To give them hope where there was very little to start with.  If you know of a local charity in need, please send their information to us at submission@okchive.org, and we will hold this for our meetings next year to determine which organizations we will be able to sponsor and which ones will be beneficiaries of our events.

Lastly, we want to get the word out.  We want to tell every single person that we know what it really means to be a chiver. OK Chive has a very lofty goal for next year being such a new organization, and we want as many of our fellow Oklahomans and fellow do-gooders to be a part in our movement.  Spread the word, tell your friends about us and send them to our About section so they can learn more about us and what we do.  We're not just a bunch of alcoholics with a charity problem... ehh... well... some of us. But we have a very hard stereotype to break, and we want all of Oklahoma to know that we are here to stay, and we fully intend on doing good regardless of what people may think about us.

With all of that being said, OK Chivers and Chivettes - I want to issue you all a challenge.  2014 will conclude with almost (if not more than) $50,000 raised for charity.  In 2015, I challenge all of us to double that and raise over $100,000.

Can we do it?  Yes, the hell we will!  What do Chivers do when they are given a goal?  We blow it out of the water.  We wish you all an amazing rest of your day, and if you're free and able - come join us this evening at Jameson's Pub at 91st and Yale in Tulsa (aka "J2").  We're still raising money to buy toys for CASA organizations throughout Oklahoma, and we would love for youto be a part in making a child in need's holidays a little brighter and a little kinder.

Thank you very much for your time.  Cheers!
